Fireworks Discharge Ordinance
The City of Bondurant has set guidelines for the discharge of fireworks within city limits and fireworks are not allowed during the New Years holiday.
Utility Bill Date Changes
For the last several years The City of Bondurant has billed approximately six to eight weeks in arrears for utilities (water, sewer and storm). As part of our conversion to a new utilities software program, we need to change this process to shorten the amount of time between when utilities are read and the bill is generated.

Voters of Bondurant will be asked to vote in a special election on a measure that would impose a local option sales and service tax in the incorporated area of Bondurant on August 6, 2019. City Council Member Tara Cox will need to appear on that ballot. All interested parties are welcome to submit nomination papers to the Polk County Election Office by June 14, 2019.

Damages were discovered over the weekend (5-3-19 to 5-5-19) at the Bondurant City Park and BRSC concession stands. Toilet paper was lit on fire. Park benches were sprayed with graffiti. Windows were broken. Restrooms were left a mess. Trash slued around the basketball courts. The city public parks are intended for everyone’s use and continued vandalism may result in closing the facilities – See Something Say Something.
5 Reasons to obey the leash law (yes, I’m talking to you)
55.12 LEASHING. All person owning dogs shall confine the same from running at large. It is the duty of every person owning a dog to: 1. Confinement Required. Confine said dog by good and sufficient means. 2. Control. Cause said dog to be under the control of a person competent to restrain and control the dog, either by leash, cord, chain or other similar restraint of sufficient strength, and not more than six (6) feet in length. 3. Restraint. Properly restrain in a motor vehicle, or house said dog in a veterinary hospital or registered kennel; 4. Obedience. Maintain control by obedience beside or “at heel,” unless the above conditions are also met.
