Irrigation Meters
There are irrigation meters available for outside water used. This would be an advantage to the homeowner who uses large quantities of water from their outside faucet(s). The cost of the meter is $303.00 (for a standard 5/8”) and is installed by a City employee after the plumbing has been completed by the property owner’s plumber.
The outdoor water used is charged at the same rate as your house meter. However, with an irrigation meter, you are not charged sewer for outdoor water use, therefore, reducing your bill significantly.
If you are looking into an irrigation system the meter for the larger capacity option will be at a higher fee which will require 1" plumbing prior to the meter install.

If you're planning to install an irrigation meter, a standard 5/8" meter is available for $303. Once payment is received, installation can be scheduled within two business days. Please note that someone must be home during the approximately 30-minute installation appointment. For in-ground irrigation systems, which typically require a larger 1" meter, the cost is $453.
