Bus driving at night

 

The city of Bondurant is a government member of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART). There are two DART routes or services providing transportation options for Bondurant residents.

  • Local Route 17 – Hubbell Ave/Altoona: Route including a stop at Amazon Fulfillment Center in Bondurant, to DART Central Station in downtown Des Moines, with stops along the route near popular destinations including Adventureland, Prairie Meadows, The Outlets of Des Moines, Goodwill and Walmart.
  • Bondurant On Call: On Mondays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., Bondurant residents can request rides between Bondurant and the cities of Ankeny and Altoona. The shuttle will take you from your home to a bus stop or other destination located in these service areas.

Special Service: Bondu Summer Bus

The City of Bondurant and DART have partnered to bring kids transportation to the Altoona Aquatic Center and Adventureland during the Summer months! Buses take kids into Altoona to visit the Altoona Pool or Adventureland from Noon to 4pm on Wednesdays and Fridays!

Kids ages 10 and under must be riding with another child that is responsible for them that is at least 14 years old.

How it Works:

1. Call the Parks Dept to set up a pick up appointment 515-630-6982. You will receive a Bondu Summer Bus Card via email for the child to take with the day-of the ride. Rides must be scheduled by Tuesday at 11am for the week they are intending on riding the bus.

2. Kids arrive at the designated stop at their reserved time with their Bondu Summer Bus Card. There will be a yellow lawn sign designating where the bus will stop

3. At 4pm the bus will pick them up from either the Pool or Adventureland and bring them back to their original pick up location.
