Summer Reading Program 2026 - Plant a Seed, Read.

We are so excited to bring you the 2026 Summer Reading Program: Plant a Seed, Read! 

Registration begins May 18th!  You may register on the READsquared website or app.  REGISTER HERE!!

READsquared is available as a convenient app in the Google Play Store or the Apple Store.  

Parents--it is easier than ever to register your family.  Just choose "Register Myself and Others," set up your username and password, then add additional family members.  It is easy to track reading for all family members on the app or the website with just ONE login. If you signed up last year, you will just register for the new program using the same login information.

This program is all about reading for fun, so there is no keeping track of how many minutes you read every day!!  You read that right--you only have to track the days you read, no matter how long you read!!  Each day you read, just enter a "1" in the logging section.  Every participant will earn a new digital badge each week they read for at least 4 days. The more days you read, the more points you get, which means more raffle tickets for Grand Prizes!

Each of the 8 weeks, participants ages 12 and under will earn an instant prize, while those ages 13-17 will get a chance to win an instant prize with a weekly scratch off ticket, and those 18 and up will be entered into our Weekly Random Drawing for a chance to win great prizes each week.  All participants will earn points for daily reading and use those points to purchase raffle tickets for the Grand Prize Drawing at the end of the program!

We will offer paper logs if you prefer to participate in person instead of through the online system. However, if you use READsquared, you can purchase raffle tickets with your reading points for the Grand Prize(s) you want to win! This will increase your odds of winning the prize you want.

Don't forget all of the fun events we have planned for June and July!  There are events for ALL AGES!!  Please refer to the calendar in your registration packet, look at the calendar on our website, or take a look at the calendar links below.  You can also view all our events right in the READsquared app and add them to your calendar so you won't miss anything!

*End of Summer Reading Carnival Celebration*

We will hold an End-of-Summer Reading Carnival at the library on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you are interested in hosting a booth for your business at our carnival, please contact us at info@bondurantlib.com before June 1, 2026. You would be responsible for setting up and running your booth, which would include a carnival-type game and small prizes for the participants. What a great way to get public recognition for your business and support the Bondurant Community Library! As with all donations to the library, any expenses incurred for this event would be considered a tax-deductible donation.
