The Bondurant Emergency Services staff will be supervising a Training House Fire Saturday, June 13, 2020 beginning at 8 AM. This is a practice drill due to a generous donation by a long time Bondurant local, the Dearden Family. Thank you!

This allows for a realistic training environment, ability to test equipment, and maintain a safe and controlled burn which minimizes the effects on air quality.

To continue to train firefighters to perform the dirty and dangerous job of fire suppression, they must be provided with proper training. They must be exposed to the effects of fire. In addition to firefighter training, the search and rescue team will be on site. This may include technical rope rescue, hasty searches, grid searching, aerial searches, etc.

Typically, Bondurant Emergency Services managed approximately 25 Training House Fires each year and only 1% are hosted locally.
