The incident unfolded when Bondurant was on the scene of a fire call, and a suspect attempted to disarm a Polk County Deputy by strangling him. Without hesitation, Lt. Reynolds stepped in to assist the deputy, demonstrating exceptional bravery and a dedication to ensuring the safety of all involved. With Lt. Reynolds's timely intervention and selfless actions, he and the deputy were able to successfully subdue the suspect, averting what could have been a grave tragedy. The City of Bondurant proudly recognizes Lt. Reynolds for his extraordinary courage and commitment to protecting the lives of those on the scene that day.

 

Lt. Reynolds received a well-deserved Letter of Commendation for his heroic intervention in an attack on a Polk County Deputy, undoubtedly preventing a potentially tragic outcome.
