Chowder Ride

The City of Bondurant Park Maintenance team has begun the process of preparing all parks and outdoor facilities for winter.

The freezing point of water is 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). As the weather consistently remains below freezing, the park restrooms will need to be winterized.

  • Drinking fountains and filling stations will be winterized and shut off on Friday, October 27, 2023.
  • The Lake Petocka restrooms will remain open but will be winterized and closed as the outdoor temperature drops.
  • The City Park restrooms will remain open but will be winterized and closed as the outdoor temperature drops.
  • The Bondurant Regional Trailhead restrooms will remain open.

Park users may continue using park amenities while facilities are winterized. All parks are open year-round, from dawn to dusk. For a complete listing of the parks in Bondurant visit https://www.cityofbondurant.com/parks-and-recreation/slideshows/parks-bondurant
