Bondurant Residents Invited to Shape the Future of Parks, Trails, and Greenways

In an effort to enhance the recreational spaces within the city, Bondurant is calling on its residents to participate in a comprehensive survey aimed at gathering insights for the updated Parks, Trails, and Greenways Master Plan. The initiative, led by students from the School of Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Iowa in collaboration with the Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities, seeks to engage the community in a dialogue about their preferences and ideas for the city's outdoor areas.

The survey, accessible here, covers a range of topics, including residents' favorite parks in Bondurant, opinions on trail expansion and connectivity, and thoughts on potential enhancements or additions to existing parks and trails. The aim is to collect diverse perspectives that will contribute to the development of a dynamic and inclusive Parks, Trails, and Greenways Master Plan.

"This survey is a valuable opportunity for Bondurant residents to actively participate in the planning process for our city's outdoor spaces," says Nicole Van Houten, Communications and Events Coordinator at the City of Bondurant. "We want to ensure that the updated Master Plan reflects the desires and needs of our community, making our parks and trails more enjoyable and accessible for everyone."

The survey is designed to be user-friendly, allowing respondents to provide feedback in a convenient and efficient manner. Participation is not only encouraged but vital to the success of the initiative. Residents are urged to complete the survey before the deadline on January 31, 2023.

All responses will be kept confidential, unless respondents choose to include their email at the end of the survey. Those who opt to provide their email may have the opportunity to engage in more in-depth discussions about the Master Plan.
