Grain District Groundbreaking Event
You're Invited: Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Grain District
The City of Bondurant and T12 Distillery invite community members, media, and civic leaders to a special groundbreaking ceremony marking the launch of the Grain District — a transformative redevelopment that reimagines the heart of downtown Bondurant.
A Bold Vision for Downtown Bondurant
At the intersection of innovation and heritage, the Grain District is set to become a vibrant mixed-use destination rooted in Bondurant’s agrarian past and designed for an inclusive future. The project repurposes the historic Landus Grain Elevator site into a dynamic hub for commerce, community, and connection.
Anchoring the district will be the future home of T12 Distillery, the nation’s first fully wheelchair-accessible distillery, offering not only premium spirits but also a nationally significant commitment to accessibility and design.
Growing Downtown: Introducing the Silo Commons
The Grain District will also feature Silo Commons — a unique community-oriented space designed to bring people together. Silo Commons will provide room for public events, local businesses, open-air gathering spots, and walkable amenities. It will serve as the connective tissue between historic structures and new development, offering opportunities for recreation, celebration, and everyday connection.
Together, the Grain District and Silo Commons create a bold new anchor for downtown — a place where heritage meets progress and local identity is celebrated through thoughtful, inclusive redevelopment.
