City of Bondurant Conducting Grant Street Corridor Study

The City of Bondurant is currently conducting a corridor study focused on Grant Street to better understand how traffic is moving through this important area as the community continues to grow.

The study will evaluate existing traffic patterns and identify potential improvements to traffic control and roadway lane configurations along Grant Street. These efforts are intended to enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and ensure the corridor can accommodate both current and future needs.

A key factor in this study is the impact of traffic associated with the Bondurant-Farrar School campus along Garfield Street SW. To better understand these patterns, the City’s consultant will be in the area on May 5th, 2026 during school arrival and dismissal times to observe traffic conditions.

As part of this data collection:

  • Cameras will be temporarily placed at intersections along Grant Street to gather traffic counts.
  • A drone will be used to capture video of school-related traffic movements in and out of the corridor.

These tools will help provide accurate, real-world data to inform future improvements.

Residents are encouraged to learn more about the study and share feedback. A project overview, schedule, and comment map are available on the project flyer. You can leave comments at this link. Community input is an important part of this process, and residents can use the provided QR code or link to submit comments, concerns, or suggestions related to traffic and mobility along Grant Street.

The City appreciates the community’s participation as we plan for Bondurant’s continued growth and connectivity.
