2nd Street NE Traffic Pattern Change
Beginning on Monday, July 6, 2026, the traffic pattern on 2nd Street NE between just east of Lincoln Street NE and Snyder Street SE will change to one-lane traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals.
This traffic shift is necessary to allow for the reconstruction of this section of 2nd Street into a new three-lane urban roadway. The project represents the second phase of a multi-year effort to modernize the entire 2nd Street corridor, improving safety, traffic flow, and overall transportation infrastructure.
During construction, motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow all posted traffic control devices and use extra caution while traveling through the work zone.
