Heavy Rains & Stormwater Update
With the significant rainfall we've receive, and additional rain possible later today, residents may notice standing water or temporary flooding in low-lying areas. If your property includes a stormwater easement, it is designed to temporarily hold and convey stormwater during heavy rain events. While this can be concerning, these areas are functioning as intended to help reduce flooding elsewhere in the community.
Mud Creek Update – Friday, July 3, 2026: City of Bondurant Public Works crews have continued monitoring Mud Creek throughout the night and into this morning. The creek is currently at moderate flood stage.
Residents and businesses along Mud Creek are encouraged to stay alert, as additional rainfall is forecast later today and conditions may change.
Trail Closure: The trail along 2nd St. NW in the Eagle Park area is closed due to water over the trail. Please respect all closures and avoid flooded areas. See the attached map for the affected location.
We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.
