City Park - 201 Main St SE (Main St. SE & 2nd St. SE). City Park is the most centrally located park in Bondurant. Located two blocks east of the Elementary and Middle schools, and just one block south of downtown, this is an ideal place to relax. This park has a basketball court, large swing set, playground, flowers, and a large grassy area to play catch or run around. Park Shelter with restrooms are newly built in the fall of 2015.
Bondurant Regional Trailhead (Depot) - 2 Main St. SE. South of Bondurant Public Safety Building (101 Grant Street North) The Bondurant Regional Trailhead is a centerpiece of the Eastern Polk County trail system and Chichaqua Valley Trail. Established in 2013, the 0.7 acre trailhead park features a 1,440 square foot open-air shelter with restrooms and water bottle fill station. This shelter is a replica of the original Bondurant train station that served train passengers from 1883 to 1962. The Trailhead sits on the historic Chicago Great Western rail line. The railway operated from 1883 to 2005. The trailhead rail bed right-of-away was purchased by the City of Bondurant from Bondurant Co-Op in 2011 to create a trailhead park to honor Bondurant’s railroad history.
Bondurant Recreational Sports Complex - 2050 Jr. Haines Pkwy NE (Accessed by Pleasant Street Northeast). Bondurant Recreational Sports Complex (BRSC) is situated on the northeast side of Lake Petocka and contains seven youth baseball fields and one field that is high school regulation size hosted by the Bondurant Little League. Bondurant Little League also has a small playground for children, a concession stand built at the end of the season in 2012. A tornado safe room that was constructed in early 2012 and restrooms that were completed in early 2015. Additional land was purchased by the City in 2018 to expand BRSC with soccer fields. This is now known as the Bondurant East Soccer Complex. A restroom and maintenance shed is under construction with estimated completion date of early 2021.
Renaud Ridge Park - 410 Sycamore Dr NW. This 1/2 acre park is located northwest of the Bondurant Community Library and west of Grant St. Renaud Ridge Park is a special treat in the heart of the Bondurant Community. Renaud Ridge Park's playground set is another custom design from Miracle Recreation including two tot swings, two belt swings, slides, ridable animal structures, and monkey bars. You can also enjoy a picnic under the open air shelter! The most unique feature of this park is Ava's Butterfly Garden. Eleven-year-old Ava Hutchinson passed away from cancer in 2018. Her family and friends (including Ava's fellow members of the We X-L 4-H Club) wanted something permanent in the community to memorialize Ava because she made a difference in a lot of community member's lives. The community made donations and the club helped fundraise and design the garden. The different colors of pink and purple were an important part of the garden design because those were Ava's favorite colors.
Mallard Pointe Park - 501 Mallard Pointe Dr NW (Mallard Pointe Dr. NW & 5th St. NW). Amenities include a quaint playground with four swings and several benches and tables for relaxing. A nice green area surrounds the playground for children to enjoy.
Wolf Creek Park - 3207 Wolf Creek Rd SW. This is in the southwestern part of Bondurant, south of Hwy 65 on Wolf Creek Rd SW
Wisteria Heights Park - 1310 13th St SE. This is a 1.3-acre park located in east Bondurant, south of Hwy 65. Explore Wisteria Heights Park in charming Bondurant! Perfect for picnics and family fun. Miracle-Recreation playground with interactive games, slides, and swings for kids aged 2-12.
Collison Soccer Park - 315 2nd St NW. South of 2nd St. NW behind the American Legion Building. The Bondurant Youth Soccer Complex is the perfect place for those upcoming soccer superstars to begin learning how to play the game. The Soccer Complex has numerous fields for kids of all ages to enjoy playing and watching soccer. The Bondurant Soccer Club handles all soccer-related activities for the youth. This organization holds a spring and fall league. Soon fields will be available at BRSC too.
Eagle Park - 320 2nd St NW Northside of 2nd St NW. Between Deer Ridge and Mallard Pointe, the open green-space used for leisure activity. Eagle Park is an area where people can interact with nature in a way that educates and preserves the natural habitat of the species who live there. Expect to explore native plantings, butterfly gardens, and a variety of trees. A soft walking trail will guide on a winding journey and an open opportunity to interact with Mud Creek.
Pawtocka - 521 Pleasant St NE. 1250 sq. ft. dog park with a small breed and large breed section. Water fountain, dog fountain, trash receptacles, benches, and a large variety of dog agility equipment.
Gateway Park (Porch Swings and Fireflies) - 1499 Grant St S. Corner of Grant Street SE & HWY 65, next to Casey’s General Store.
Lake Petocka Park - 521 Pleasant St NE. Lake Petocka is a beautiful, tranquil lake surrounded by a winding biking and walking trail (0.71 miles surrounding the lake). Lake Petocka Park was connected to the rest of the City by trail in 2011, making it easier to get to the park safely without driving. Connecting Lake Petocka Park to the Chichaqua Valley Trailhead has been complete. The south side of the lake, to the right of the entrance, offers a partially enclosed shelter and a playground (new in 2011) with slides and swings. A sand volleyball court is on the west side of the lake, close to the park entrance. This court can be reserved along with the Volleyball Shelter next to the court, so parties with Volleyball Shelter reservations have priority. A small open shelter is also located on the east side of the lake (Men's shelter).
