Bondurant Area Chamber - Rapid Growth in Bondurant

If you haven’t been in Bondurant recently, you’ll likely be surprised the next time you’re in town. Bondurant’s population has nearly doubled in the past ten years. In addition, the community enjoys a recently built community library and public safety building, new bike path and sidewalk construction, and updates to its downtown area. A new high school will open this fall to keep up with a rapidly growing school district, which now has the second fastest percentage growth in the state of Iowa.

Bondurant has issued an average of 77 new single family permits annually in the last six years. Several new plats have been approved this year and the City expects more plats to be proposed in the next year or two. The growth will likely continue as more and more people find out what a great place Bondurant is to live and do business.

The Bondurant Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its first annual Lake PetockaThon Games on August 6th. Teams of 3-4 members will compete in exciting decathlon-style games at Lake Petocka in Bondurant. Some of the featured games include a kayak relay, lake chip shot, text time battles, body part race and more! We invite you to Bondurant to participate in our Lake PetockaThon Games.

For more information, check out Bondurant Area Chamber of Commerce on Facebook, e-mail info@bondurantchamber.com or call (515) 771-8316.
