NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the City Council will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2007, in the Bondurant City Center at 200 Second Street, Northeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa.  Said meeting is open and the public is encouraged to attend.

Meeting No. 07-04

 

 

A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, was held in the Community Room at the Bondurant City  Center on the 29th day of January, 2007, at 6:00 p.m.

 

 

Present:                Mayor Marla McCoid

                              Council Member Mike Adams, Sr.

                              Council Member Michele Bailey

                              Council Member Bruce Cordes

                              Council Member Jeffrey Kromrie         

                              Council Member Keith Ryan

                              City Administrator Mark Arentsen        

                              Deputy City Clerk Michelle Wells

 

Absent:                 None

 

Notice of the meeting was posted at the Bondurant City Center, Casey’s General Stores, Legacy Bank and the United States Post Office on January 26, 2007.  All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.

 

Mayor McCoid called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.  Roll call  was  taken and  a quorum was declared.

 

Mayor McCoid noted that Chief Aaron Kreuder was the only officer present representing Bondurant Emergency Services and although the Library Board of Trustees did not have a quorum discussion would continue.

 

Motion made by Council Member Kromrie, seconded by Council Member Cordes, to approve the agenda, as amended.

 

Mr. David Harrison, AIA and Mr. Jerry Purdy, AIA, Design Alliance, Inc., 14225 University Avenue, Suite 110, Waukee, Iowa, presented a schedule of events; a floor plan; discussed various site plan options and answered questions from the Mayor and Council concerning the Bondurant Public Safety Building project. 

 

Council Member Ryan left at 6:45 p.m.

 

Mr. Denny Sharp, FEH Associates, Inc., presented a revised site plan and building elevations for the Bondurant Community Library project and answered questions from the Mayor, City Council Members and Library Board Members. 

 

Motion made by Council Member Adams, seconded by Council Member Cordes, to adjourn the meeting at 7:48 p.m.  Roll Call:  Ayes:  4.  Nays:  0.   Motion carried.
