2nd Street SE Parking Lot

Project Description:

A new parking lot on the property located on the NE corner of 2nd Street SE and Main St SE.

This parking area will include 11 new parking stalls along with landscaping and privacy fencing along the Northside of the property. The parking area will be constructed with the design feature of permeable pavers for stormwater management. 

This type of system is beneficial as it allows stormwater runoff from impervious surfaces like building structures and paves surfaces to infiltrate through a granular drainage system to slow the inundation rate of the Stormwater conveyance system. It also helps to separate out impurities in the stormwater runoff to add a water quality benefit component as well. This is becoming a more widely used practice to better manage stormwater runoff in parking.
