Kid's Games - Occurred June 7 - June 24, 2011 (Every Tues. & Fri.). From 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., kids could meet at City Park to play a variety of age-specific games.
Youth Fishing Derby - Occurred June 4, 2011. Goodie bags, free lunches, and prizes were given during this free fishing event. This Youth Fishing Derby was for children ages 15 and under during the Iowa DNR's free fishing weekend.
Rain Barrel Workshop - Occurred April 9, 2011. Pre-ordered rain barrels were available for $40. Attendance at the Rain Barrel Workshop was free and open to the public. Please click here to read the summary of the event.
Adult Basketball (Indoor) - Occurred Sunday afternoons between Jan. 2- March 27, 2011. See current events information for summer basketball information.
Adult Volleyball (Indoor) - Occurred Sunday evenings between Feb. 13 - March 27, 2011. See current events information for summer volleyball information.
"Rock Me" Polk County Conservation Presentation - Occurred on March 15, 2011. A Polk County Naturalist taught over 40 kids about how rocks are formed using humor and lots of real rocks. Click here to read the summary of the event.
Community Game Night - Occurred on March 15, 2011.
Science Center Day Trip - Occurred on March 17, 2011 (Ages 5-10). It was a fun-filled day for 31 kids and 8 adults, while they explored the Science Center together.
Valentine's Dance - Occurred on February 12, 2011. Dance was for adults ages 21 and older and was held on the second level of Cory's Irish Pub. Click here to read the summary of the event.
Cribbage Tournament - Occurred on January 30, 2011. Round-robin tournament in the Community Room at City Hall. Competition was pretty intense for the top three prizes! Click here to read the summary of the event.
Bondurant Tour of Lights - Occurred on December 18, 2010. Tour participants met at City Hall for a bus tour of Bondurant. Prizes awarded to the top 5 best decorated houses in Bondurant that are participating as a “stop” in the tour. Click here to read the summary of the event.
Holiday Tree Lighting - Occurred on December 4, 2010, at the Bondurant Community Library. You can see the Holiday Tree and Santa in front of the Library. Adult Flag Football - (Was scheduled from October 10, 2010 - November 7, 2010, but was cancelled due to lack of participants). Due to the positive feedback and interest after the deadline, the Park and Recreation Board hopes to have another sign-up for this league in the Fall of 2011. Schedule will be determined by teams and Park Board.
Placekick, Punt and Pass Contest - On Saturday, October 2nd, Bondurant youth took part in a local qualifying round for the Placekick, Punt and Pass Contest, sponsored by Iowa Park and Recreation Association. The contest took place at the Bondurant Soccer Fields and was open to boys and girls ages 8-13. Local winners advanced to the State Finals held on Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the Iowa State University campus.
