Parks in Bondurant

City Park

201 Main St. SE (Main St. SE & 2nd St. SE)

City Park is the most centrally located park in Bondurant. Located two blocks east of the Elementary and Middle schools, and just one block south of downtown, this is an ideal place to relax.

This park has a basketball court, large swing set, playground, an open shelter, flowers, and a large grassy area to play catch or run around. The shelter is available to reserve through the City; click here for reservation information. If there are no reservations, park shelters may also be used on a "first-come, first-served," basis.

Lake Petocka Park
520 Pleasant St. NE (Playground by South Shelter)

Lake Petocka is a beautiful, tranquil lake surrounded by a winding biking and walking trail (0.71 miles surrounding the lake). Lake Petocka Park was connected to the rest of the City by trail in 2011, making it easier to get to the park safely without driving. Planning to connect Lake Petocka Park to the Chichaqua Valley Trailhead has also begun.

The south side of the lake, to the right of the entrance, offers a partially enclosed shelter and a playground (new in 2011) with slides and swings. A sand volleyball court is on the east side of the lake, close to the park entrance. This court can be reserved along with the Volleyball Shelter next to the court, so parties with Volleyball Shelter reservations have priority. A small open shelter is also located on the east side of the lake. All shelters are available to reserve through the City; click here for reservation information. If there are no reservations, park shelters may also be used on a "first-come, first-served," basis.
