Want to be part of the Bondurant Fire Rescue?

The Bondurant Fire Department is looking for individuals willing to train hard, work hard and be part of a good tradition. Certified Firefighters, EMT's, Paramedics, and nurses are excellent, however, no experience is necessary as ALL training is provided by the department.

Do you want to help out your community?  Do you live in Bondurant city limits?  Are you a firefighter (FF1) or an EMT (Iowa or NREMT)?

Fill out an application online (on the city’s website) or pick up an application from City Hall or at the Public Service building.  We are looking to add to our paid per call and our list of potential paid per call for our future growth.

In addition to responding to fire, motor vehicle accidents and other emergencies, BES also provides 911 EMS transport services to more than 10,000 people in northeastern Polk County.  BES works as a team to provide quality patient care and member safety.  We currently have two 2018 ambulances and a 2012 ambulance, all stocked with the most current ALS equipment.  The firefighting resources include one rescue pumper, two pumpers/tenders, one 75-foot aerial ladder truck, one cutting edge ultra-high pressure tactical unit and another ultra-high pressure rapid response command unit.  BES has a close working relationship with multiple mutual aid partners to provide a quality response in a wide range of responses.  In 2017, BES responded to more than 500 calls and is currently staffed with a full-time Chief and Assistant Chief, a part-time Assistant Chief, two-part time Fire-Medics, a part-time Administrative Assistant and 26 paid per call members.
