Board of Adjustment Meeting

A regular meeting of the City of Bondurant Board of Adjustment was held in City Hall at the Bondurant City Center on the 08th day of June 2010, at 6:00 p.m.

Board Member Kris Klinker
Notice of the meeting was posted at the Bondurant City Center, Casey’s General Stores, Legacy Bank and the United States Post Office on May 26, 2010. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.
Board Chair Pritchard called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll call was taken and a quorum was declared.
Motion made by Board Member Kolo, seconded by Board Member Hanson, to approve the agenda, as presented. Roll call: Ayes: 4. Nays: 0. Motion carried.
Motion made by Board Member Hanson, seconded by Board Member Kolo, to approve the Board of Adjustment minutes of November 10, 2009. Roll call: Hanson-Yes, Kolo-Yes, Wells-Abstain, Pritchard-Yes. Motion carried.
Board Chair Pritchard announced the next agenda item was a PUBLIC HEARING to consider a variance to Zoning Code Chapter 177, Section 177.04, to place 7 1/2’ x 3’ mini storage building to the east side of the home at 107 – 7th Court, Southeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa.
Michael and Janet Beer, 107 – 7th Court, Southeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, proposed to install a small utility shed on the east side of their home, due to underground utility wires and the angle of grade of the rear yard. The east side of the home will provide shelter from high wind. The shed will be used to store lawn equipment, tools and a snow blower.
Motion made by Board Member Wells, seconded by Board Member Hanson, to approve Resolution BA 10-01, a Resolution granting a variance for the construction of a 7 1/2’ x 3’ mini storage building to the east side of the home at 107 – 7th Court, Southeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa. Roll Call: Wells-Yes, Kolo-Yes, Hanson-Yes, Pritchard-Yes. Motion carried.
