NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the City Council will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2006, in the Bondurant City Center at 200 Second Street, Northeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa.  Said meeting is open and the public is encouraged to attend.

Meeting No. 06-27

 

 

A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, was held in the Community Room at the Bondurant City  Center on the 16th day of November, 2006, at 7:00 p.m.

 

 

Present:                Mayor Marla McCoid

                              Council Member Mike Adams, Sr.

                              Council Member Michele R. Bailey

                              Council Member Bruce N. Cordes

                              Council Member Jeffrey A. Kromrie

                              Council Member Keith Ryan     

                              City Administrator Mark J. Arentsen    

                              Deputy City Clerk Michelle Wells

                             

Absent:                 None

 

Notice of the meeting was posted at the Bondurant City Center, Casey’s General Stores, Legacy Bank and the United States Post Office on November 09, 2006.  All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.

 

Mayor McCoid called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Roll call  was  taken and  a quorum was declared.

 

Motion made by Council Member Bailey, seconded by Council Member Adams, to approve the agenda, as presented.  Roll Call:  Bailey-Yes, Adams-Yes, Cordes-Yes.  Motion carried.

 

Library Board of Trustee Members present included Eric Boatwright, Craig Kinrade, Michell Klinker-Feld, Cheryl Lenhart, Susan Ugulini, Mary Thomas and Karen Pederson, Library Director.

 

Council Member Ryan arrived at 7:05 p.m.  Council Member Kromrie arrived at 7:10 p.m.

 

Mr. Denny Sharp, FEH Associates, Inc., presented the site plan for the Bondurant Community Library project and answered questions from the Mayor, City Council Members and Library Board Members.  A joint work session is scheduled for December 18, 2006, at approximately 7:30 p.m., after the regular City Council meeting.  Mr. Sharp will present a revised projected budget for the library project to the Mayor and Council Members.

 

Motion made by Council Member Adams, seconded by Council Member Bailey, to adjourn the meeting at 8:22 p.m.  Roll Call:  Ayes:  5.  Nays:  0.  Motion carried.
