Notice of the meeting was posted
at the
Members of the Altoona City Council and Altoona City
Management were also present.
Discussion was held relating to the many services shared
between the two communities, including building inspection services,
Other discussion was held on the Iowa Highway 945 and
Interstate 80 interchange project, and the opportunities of obtaining federal
funding for said project;
fire services and EMS services in each respective community, and
the servicing of the various townships and future collaboration between the two
cities on the subject matter; and the
Wastewater Reclamation Authority proposed services to both communities.
City Administrators Carlyle and Mark were asked to
collaborate on the topics of future annexation plans and land use comprehensive
plans. A future meeting of the group
was discussed relating
to such topics.
