A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, was held in the Community Room at the Bondurant City Center on the 07th day of April, 2003, at 6:00 p.m.

Notice of the meeting was posted at the Bondurant City Center, Ampride Store, Casey’s General Store, and Legacy Bank on April 04, 2003. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.

Mayor Ihde called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll call was taken and a quorum was declared.

Motion made by Council Member Valentine, seconded by Council Member Thomas, to approve the agenda as presented. Roll Call: Valentine-Yes, Thomas-Yes, Cordes-Yes, Williams-Yes, Bailey-Yes. Motion carried.

Motion made by Council Member Williams, seconded by Council Member Valentine, to approve the consent items consisting of the Council Minutes of March 17, 2003, Eastern Polk Regional Development Minutes of March 13, 2003, Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Minutes of February 20, 2003, the Claims Report and Tax Abatement Application for Angelique J. Smyth and Tammy Six, 507 Deer Ridge Drive, Northwest, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa. Roll Call: Williams-Yes, Valentine-Yes, Cordes-Yes, Bailey-Yes, Thomas-Yes. Motion carried.

Polk County Sheriff’s Department Representative Lt. Jorgenson was present and had nothing to report.

City of Bondurant Water Superintendent Pat Collison, thanked the Mayor, City Council and the City Administrator for purchasing three new trucks for the Public Works Department.

Bondurant Little League President Mike Huth, 7928 - 106th Place, Northeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, updated the Council regarding the accomplishments of volunteers, activities and future goals for Kinney Park.

Bondurant Men’s Club Representative Jerry Pritchard, 502 - 11th Court, Southeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, requested the City apply for the permit required for Summerfest’s fireworks display in June. The City agreed to the request.
