Meeting No. 02-18
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, was held in the Community Room at the Bondurant
City Center on the 19th day of August, 2002, at 6:00 p.m.

Notice of the meeting was posted at the Bondurant City Center, Ampride Store, Casey’s General Store, and Legacy Bank on August 16, 2002. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.
Mayor Ihde called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll call was taken and a quorum was
declared.
Motion made by Council Member Cordes, seconded by Council Member
Valentine, to approve the agenda as presented.
Roll Call: Ayes: 5.
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
Rosanne Bell, 502 Brick Street, Southeast, Bondurant, Polk
County, Iowa, presented pictures to Council regarding a motorized vehicle being
repaired on Brick Street, Southeast.
Motion made by Council Member Thomas, seconded by Council
Member Cordes, to approve the consent items consisting of the City Council
Minutes of August 05, 2002, Des Moines Area MPO Minutes of July 25, 2002, Polk
County Aviation Authority Minutes of June 06, 2002, the Claims Report and
Financial Reports and Tax Abatement Application for Bondurant Mini-Storage, 411
Brick Street, Southeast, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa. Roll Call:

Member Thomas, to approve Resolution No. 02-83, a Resolution approving the Application

right to review the Preliminary and Final Plats for Trullinger Grove Plat No.

Council Member Williams stated there wasn’t a cemetery cost
addressing non-residents on the 2002 Fee Schedule. City Administrator Carlyle stated the non-resident cost is $400
per space.
Motion made by Council Member Thomas, seconded by Council
Member Valentine, to approve Resolution No. 02-85, a Resolution approving the
Fee Schedule for Various Permits, Licenses, Costs, Fees and/or Charges as
identified in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Bondurant, Iowa, 2002, as
amended. Roll Call: Thomas-Yes, Valentine-Yes, Bailey-Yes,
Williams-Yes, Cordes-Yes. Motion
carried.
Motion made by Council Member Thomas, seconded by Council
Member Cordes, to approve Resolution No. 02-86, a Resolution establishing the
first City Council meeting in September as Tuesday, September 03, 2002. Roll Call:
Thomas-Yes, Cordes-Yes, Bailey-Yes, Williams-Yes, Valentine-Yes. Motion carried.

Member Cordes, to approve Resolution No. 02-87, a Resolution acknowledging and
referring a request for re-zoning of the Clarence Oleson Vista Estates (The
C.O.V.E.) development property to the Bondurant Planning and Zoning Commission for
review and consideration. Roll
