A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, was held in the Community Room at the Bondurant
City Center on the 15th day of July, 2002, at 6:00 p.m.

Notice of the meeting was posted at the Bondurant City
Center, Ampride Store, Casey’s General Store, and Legacy Bank on July 12,
2002. All proceedings hereafter shown
were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.
Mayor Ihde called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll call was taken and a quorum was
declared.
Motion made by Council Member Williams, seconded by Council
Member Bailey, to approve the agenda as presented. Roll Call: Ayes: 5. Nays: 0.
Motion carried.
Motion made by Council Member Bailey, seconded by Council
Member Thomas, to approve the consent items consisting of the City Council
Minutes of July 01, 2002, Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes of July 11,
2002, the Claims Report and Financial Report, and Tax Abatement Application for
Mervin S. Petersen, 303 Deer Ridge Drive, Northwest, Bondurant, Polk County,
Iowa. Roll Call: Bailey-Yes,

Member Cordes, to approve Resolution No. 02-73, a Resolution approving the
Contract Agreement between the City of Bondurant and Poock and Siebke, CPA, for

Thomas-Yes, Valentine-Yes. Motion carried.
Motion made by Council Member Valentine, seconded by Council Member Thomas, to close the regular City Council meeting and open Public Hearing to consider the adoption of the proposed “Code of Ordinances of the City of Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, 2002”. Roll Call: Valentine-Yes, Thomas-Yes, Bailey-Yes, Williams-Yes, Cordes-Yes. Motion carried. City Administrator Carlyle reported no written

Hearing and open the regular City Council meeting. Roll Call: Valentine-Yes,

Motion made by Council Member Bailey, seconded by Council
Member Valentine, to approve Resolution No. 02-74, a Resolution amending the
proposed “Code of Ordinances of the City of Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa,
2002”, with no amendments noted. Roll

Member Cordes, to waive the first and second reading of Ordinance No. 02-203,
an Ordinance adopting the “Code of Ordinances of the City of Bondurant, Polk
County, Iowa, 2002”, and approve as the third and final reading. Roll Call:
Williams-Yes, Cordes-Yes, Bailey-Yes, Thomas-Yes, Valentine-Yes. Motion carried.

Member Bailey, to approve Resolution No. 02-75, a Resolution approving
