A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa, was held in the Community Room at the Bondurant
City Center on the 03rd day of June, 2002, at 6:00 p.m.

Notice of the meeting was posted at the Bondurant City
Center, Ampride Store, Casey’s General Store, and Legacy Bank on May 31,
2002. All proceedings hereafter shown
were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.
Mayor Ihde called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll call was taken and a quorum was
declared.
Motion made by Council Member Bailey, seconded by Council
Member Williams, to approve the agenda as presented. Roll call: Ayes: 5.
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
Motion made by Council Member Bailey, seconded by Council
Member Cordes, to approve the consent items consisting of the City Council
Minutes of May 20, 2002, Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes of February 28,
2002, the Claims Report and Tax Abatement Application for Joan L. White, 309
Second Street, Northwest, Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa. Roll Call:
Bailey-Yes, Cordes-Yes, Williams-Yes, Thomas-Yes, Valentine-Yes. Motion carried.
Polk County Sheriff’s Department Representative Lt.
Jorgenson explained the qualifications needed for Polk County Deputy Michael
Tarvin to patrol the c0ity on a motorcycle, and asked for instructions
regarding Summerfest.
Mr. Chuck Bishop, P.E. of Bishop Engineering gave an
overview of the Site Plan for Bondurant Mini-Storage.

Motion by Council Member Bailey, seconded by Council Member
Cordes, to approve Resolution No. 02-64, a Resolution approving the Site Plan
for Bondurant Mini-Storage, subject to final approval of the
City Administrator and City Engineer. Roll Call:
Bailey-Yes, Cordes-Yes, Williams-Yes, Thomas-Yes, Valentine-Yes. Motion carried.

v Updated the Council regarding his upcoming trip to Washington D.C.
v Referenced Bondurant Fire and EMS monthly report for May 2002.

Referenced communication from the Bondurant Women’s
Club.

Referenced telephone communication from a Bondurant
resident complimenting City Staff regarding cemetery maintenance for the
Memorial Day weekend.

Referenced communication from Metro Waste Authority.
ü
Informed Council that work will begin soon televising
the sanitary sewer system for problems.
ü
Informed Council that he had met with the Bondurant
Men’s Club regarding Summerfest.
